1860 Concorde Stage Coach

In 2017, Russo commissioned Ghiglieri to create a historically accurate 1860 Concord stagecoach — a Wells Fargo–era vehicle — in bronze, pure silver, and even solid gold. The project was not just about art; it was about honoring the history and craftsmanship of the original stagecoach service. Russo has said the goal was to “honor the story behind it” by capturing the authentic details of the era. Ghiglieri used the traditional “Lost Wax Casting” method, assembling over 3,000 individual pieces to achieve one of the most detailed sculptures of its kind. Russo and Ghiglieri also studied at the Overland Stagecoach Museum, examining routes, horse types, and other historical details to ensure authenticity. The project also had a cultural impact — three similar stagecoach sculptures are now in the Cowboy Hall of Fame. For Russo, the piece was both an artistic achievement and a historical tribute, blending meticulous craftsmanship with the narrative of the 19th-century stagecoach era. It stands as a tangible link to the past, preserving the story of the Concord Stage Company in a form that can be admired and studied for generations

America’s Anniversary

Mark Russo’s “America’s Anniversary” bronze sculpture was created as a tribute to the 250th birthday of the United States, blending symbolism, craftsmanship, and a vision of the American spirit.

The Eagle stands for strength, vigilance, and sovereignty.

The Liberty Bell stands for freedom, sacrifice, and responsibility.

The gold inscription marks the national milestone:

. . . America’s Anniversary, Semiquincentennial — July 4th, 1776–2026

Together, these elements honor a nation at 250 years — a country still being built, still being tested, and still called to greatness.

Prize Catch

The “Prize Catch Bear” is a 34‑inch bronze grizzly bear sculpture created by Laran Ghiglieri, son of the internationally acclaimed wildlife sculptor Lorenzo Ghiglieri. The piece captures the bear in a dynamic moment, securing its “prize catch,” and is celebrated for its realism, muscular detail, and the artistry of Ghiglieri’s signature wildlife style.

For Prize Catch Bear, Russo entrusted Ghiglieri with a 34‑inch bronze grizzly as part of a series of wildlife commissions. The work was crafted using Ghiglieri’s meticulous process.

The piece was then cast in bronze, with Ghiglieri’s focus on anatomical accuracy and the bear’s powerful posture, making it both a wildlife study and a symbolic representation of strength and resilience.
